more perilous poetry

Almost four hundred years ago, Anne Bradstreet wrote a poem “To My Dear and Loving Husband’.  I have always liked it for the way it is simple and direct.  I had been playing with a poem in that style for a while, and recently my mind has begun to clear from the operation, thyroid problems and radiation.  Here is stanza one of three.

If woman designed for man, then you
If heart were made for love, we two
And breast inviting kiss, then these
with thighs deserving touch and tease
