one enchanted evening…

A leisurely meal at Chef Amaury’s 33 West in downtown Aurora Illinois. A meal shared with the one you love always tastes better. Pictures complements of my wife’s iPad

A nice red from France to compliment the meal and not overshadow it…

A Gigandos to set the mood and enhance the meal

Bread with unsalted, just slightly sweetened butter

some sauces require bread so they don’t go to waste…

Salad with a dressing of Parmesan cheese ice cream, it melts and mingles with the balsamic vinegar reduction…

greens and just a touch of parma ham

Soup… just right for a fall night

butternut squash, applewood bacon, basil

Then the fish…

sea bass with a wafer of smoked pistachio, carrot ginger puree, veggies

And the meat…

steak in a red wine reduction, t ruffled potatoes with goat cheese, green beans

and dessert ( always one more “s” than desert ) I passed on the fig creme brulee, but the molten chococlate with ice cream was very very good

molten chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream

Looking good! I was sold, when I saw the first picture, red wine and red rose. That combination never fails. You’ve got good taste. Congrats with anniversary to you both! 🙂

Thank you for sharing your beautiful lovely evening with us and of course the food can’t be ignored as the photo credits goes to your lovely wife! May you both share happiness and love beyond measures 🙂
    With love and blessings,

  7. I got to tell you, I looked at every picture relishing the colors, the descriptions, the presentations, imagining the tastes and textures, and the anticipation, and the company, the hand holding (I hope) and smiles and what a wonderful evening it must have been because it certainly was a lovely time for me being an outsider who stepped inside for a while. Happy anniversary again. And I’m glad to see there was no chiliiiiii. Randy

The food looks marvelous. Thanks for sharing your evening with us. I’ve only had sea bass once, and it was delicious.

  9. It was a lovely evening but not as lovely as the company.

Share your thoughts, I'd love to hear what you have to say.
