elections

Still at work, no idea about how the election is trending. But it comes to mind that “Electorates tend to get the type of government they deserve.”

Hope everyone voted and for all the snafus, remember alot of election workers worked very hard for you this day.

  1. well it’s kind of hard to get to the States from Canada to vote…

  2. afraid that the expression, “Electorates tend to get the type of government they deserve.” almost sounds like that old saw of, “No good deed goes unpunished.”

and I heartily agree – about all the election volunteer workers who come out all the time, cheery faced and ready to help, what a wonderful thing!

“remember a lot of election workers worked very hard for you this day..”

    Amen!

I just worry about the debts we are ringing up that our children will need to pay.

As for the poll workers, most of the problems arise from decisions made by people far above them.

As a final thought, as an IT guy for many many years, I still trust the paper ballots with the punchouts more than electronic touch screen machines.

As the economy increases so will the taxes that will be taken in as a result of those increases. Bust years (and wars and trickle down economics) always lead to high debts. Boom years replenish the coiffures. It is a cycle.

But first, people (corporations included as they are now people as well as the wealthy) have to pay their fair share to help with the debt.

A house that has little or no income, or makes all the children work while the “adults” don’t have to contribute, can’t keep cutting back on what isn’t coming in.
