cowgirl boots

Money was tight, and they were costly even then. New they called to us from that Wyoming shop, now they shine with memories. I wanted her to have them, she wasn’t sure we could stand the cost.

They are crossing Little Goose Creek with the glacier fed water nearly up to the horses bellies, or laughing as we raced up from Lonesome Pine trail and no matter how I urge Lad on, he could never catch your horse Sundae. If I close my eyes, we are in the wilderness flying across a pristine meadow, it was magic.

I love this post. Your words and the photo fit well together–perhaps almost as well as your daughter’s feet in her boots.

Yes, she’s 22 and we just bought her a pair for her birthday that will probably be the last of the cowgirl boots. It’s a bit sad, but good that she is becoming responsible for her own life.
