good fry-day
Posted: March 29, 2013 Filed under: food, Philadelphia, travel | Tags: food, good fry-day, philly, ramen bar, travel 23 CommentsOff to Philly to visit our youngest who couldn’t get away for Easter… After unloading we were off to the Ramen Bar on Locust street for food, then the Green Line Cafe for tea while a local strummed the guitar. When he played some Warren Zevon, I laughed with delight.
Tomorrow up to NYC on the train to catch an off Broadway ( picked out my by my avant garde sister ) show and a healthy vegan dinner. It could be an interesting day.

bonito flakes ( fish ) around a doughy batter with a bit of octopus in the center
pork belly in rice dough with sauce….
marinated pork belly over rice with sliced pickled dicon and pickled ginger..

oh yeah i remember this, but i missed the writing in between so i didn’t realize it was octopus..
I am on a restricted budget for a while – so I may not have any more food posts for a bit, but if a vendor takes me out, I will try to get you one in.

we had a vegan dinner after our show at “Caravan of dreams” featuring almond hummis, gluten free pasta and an avacado thai salad, with a big glass of beet/celery/lemon/mystery ingrediants which was delicious as well
