Yellowstone – travel

One of my favorite places of mountains, water, trees and sky. And of course animals, this trip we saw elk, buffalo, a bald eagle, deer, marmots, moose. We took a whirlwind one day visit from our cabin near Sheridan Wyoming.

  1. Those buffalo must have been a sight! Were you nervous with them being so close to the road?

no, fascinated – they were making a noise like a combination of a pig’s grunt and a cow’s bellow.

      Yellowstone is fascinating….

Hi — one followup thought … I have been around cattle and horses a bit, and most animals will signal you before they charge or attack…. these guys were just road hogs…

If we were out of the car, I would have been concerned.

  2. I’m glad for you – and look forward to going there one day myself. That’s great,. Randy

  3. I get the feeling you always really look forward to this trip and enjoy it immensely! I love the photos and the term geothermic fascinations – that would be a great name for a band, no?

Beautiful – both the scenery, the animals – and what you did for your daughter’s English friend.

    Peace and blessings,

Looks like your short whirlwind visit to Yellowstone was very rewarding. I’ve always enjoyed our visits through YNP – even if just passing through. It is a magical place.
