celebrate – food

before Easter, we celebrated the birthday of our favorite oldest daughter

We picked up the Chateau La Nerthe visiting France a year ago, it did not disappoint us. The champagne we picked up locally, it was wonderful.

Have a blessed Easter.

The wine from Chateau La Nerthe was at one time stored in a vats made from slabs of a bridge built by the Romans 1500 years ago. Some of the irrigation ditches there were first dug by the Romans. It adds no taste, but there must be a timelessness to the vintages, or at least I have found it so.

That’s the fun of visiting a region and bring back a bottle or two.

And it makes the celebrations have an even deeper inner satisfaction.

But of course, given the choice of wine or family, tap water is a very fine drink πŸ™‚
