KInda late to be adding my comment – but yes, when I read that news story of the 2 heroes, I can’t help but feel rejuvenated by their selflessness.
We are very grateful … the world needs more of them. Shouldn’t we also follow a hero-training 🙂
Agreed.
I concur! Well said. Heroes in a time we sorely need . My home country of France is unrecognizable.
the countryside of France is full of markers of great heroism.
It struck me that in the US, I have been proud of little the leaders have done. Maybe here and in France the heroism is in the people.
Good point. The actions of thosr brave young men was quite incredible
I guess the question becomes, why aren’t we inspired by our leadership ?
That’s an easy one! There’s no true voice of the people when politicians are elected nepotistically and only if they can afford it. The people are cut off from the means just like Marx predicted.
not a big fan of Marx, but a nation can lose their freedom. I liken it to the old biblical tale of Jacob and Easu – a people can trade their freedom for entitlements
Very good parallel. I agree. Any nation irresponsible with truth can lose freedoms
I’m very proud of these heroes!
Yes. Definitely.
I had to google this as I’d heard nothing about it. Wow!
in this case evil did not triumph Diana – good men did do something.
I’m mad too, because when I ride that lovely high speed train ( it can go over 100 miles per hour ) again, this will be on my thoughts.
But I will ride it.
Thank God for everyday heroes. We never read enough about them~
Evil must be faced – heroes show us the way.
