cooper’s hawk winery and restaurant

It’s a chance to talk business, develop a working relationship, and try new places to eat. Today we tried Cooper’s Hawk, a winery and restaurant in Naperville Il. My boss and I were treated to an excellent meal, and better company.
I think I’m going to like this place….
I rarely favor sweeter white wine, but Cooper’s sangria is excellent. I especially enjoy the apple slices that have been soaking in the wine. To me sangria is just fun.
I had a cup of the lobster bisque, and my boss had a beautifully presented tuna
They had reduced portion lunches, and I opted for the atlantic salmon sevrved on a bed of kale and sliced potatoes with tomato. Delicious.
They had chocolate covered strawberries and truffles on the dessert menu, but maybe next time. Time to start my diet 🙂
Salmon is always a good choice. Yum. My husband and I try to have salmon once or twice a week. Of course, I’m cooking it…it looks better served…with lovely linens!
I like eating out, when I am in Chicago by myself I just can’t get motivated to cook.
It gets expensive though. Usually I pick restaurants I haven’t tried when vendors from work want to do lunch or dinner.
Looks yum!
wait until you hear about the hot-dog stand we found in NYC 🙂
Yum! That looks great!
That looks delicious. I really need to visit you.
Chicago is an excellent foodie town. I hear Boston is too.
I’ve heard that as well. Definitely worth exploring.
Yum!
How can i get a job like yours?
Randy — you would have to step down about 5 levels 🙂
I work in a basement, so I don’t get it….?
in your pajamas ?
When I’m in my pajamas,Ii get it – sometimes.
But otherwise i just work there.
So how do I get a job where people buy me nice lunches. Most of the people I deal with want to through me under the bus. 😉
ITs are so magical to me…the way they fix things and make them work…like mystical gods… 😉
we tend to be very religious…. often depending on “Oh my God, I hope this works” 🙂
all said with the indoor voice I would assume?
yes, the indoor voice, but absolute sincerity 🙂
Yes, very cool job to be a wine taster.
I work in IT, and I don’t make anything. I enable trillions of bits and bytes to move, but to take grapes and produce wine. That’s something else.
That’s a very old art. But your job still looks pretty good.
yes, my job is pretty cool. Big toys for big kids.
Looks like you’ve a great job there, Bill.
Lunch with wine – and during office hours – with the boss. Can’t go wrong, I reckon 🙂
only one, on rare occasions. Usually I am an unsweetened ice tea guy, or my favorite green tea
